Chapter 22:1-23 The Last Passover
Now the ‘Feast of Unleavened Bread’, (that is, bread without yeast), was near, called the Passover. 2And the chief priests and writers looked for a way to kill Him, because they were afraid of the people. 3Then Satan entered into Judas Iscariot, one of the twelve, 4and he went to see the chief priests and captains, to discuss how he might be able to betray Him to them. 5They were so glad that they promised to give him money. 6And he agreed and looked for an opportunity to betray Him to them without the crowds present. 7Then the ‘Day Of Unleavened Bread’ came, when the Passover sacrifice must be killed. 8So, He sent Peter and John saying,
“Go and prepare the Passover for us, so we can eat”.
9And they said,
“Where do you want us to prepare it?”
10And He said,
“When you get to the city, a man will meet you, carrying a water container. Follow him into the house he is going to”. 11Then say to this good house owner, ‘Where is the guest room where I will eat the Passover with my disciples?’ 12He will show you a large furnished upper room for you to make ready”.
13They found it just as He had said and got ready for the Passover. 14When the time for it had come, He reclined at the table with the twelve that He commissioned, 15saying;
“I have been wanting to eat this Passover with you before I suffer. 16I tell you I will not eat again until everything is fulfilled in the kingdom of God”.
17He took the cup, gave thanks and said,
“Take this and share it with each other. 18I tell you that I will not drink wine until the kingdom of God comes”.
19He took the bread, giving thanks, saying,
“This is my body which is given for you. Do this in remembrance of me”.
20In the same way, after supper, He said,
“This cup is the new covenant of my blood which I give for you. 21See for yourself the hand that is betraying me, is with me on this table. 22The Son of man will go exactly as it was decided, but death comes to the betrayer”.
23So they asked each other who it was who would do such a thing.

“But I am here serving you! 28You have been with me in my trials. 29I am making a covenant with you just as my Father covenanted to give me a kingdom, 30that you will eat and drink at my table in my kingdom and sit on thrones judging the twelve tribes of Israel”.

Prayer, Praise and Worship

Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy Name,
thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.
And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.
For Thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever;- Amen.
